By accessing or using Lecturn (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

Lecturn is an academic portfolio builder that allows researchers, professors, and students to create and publish professional web pages showcasing their work. We offer free and paid subscription plans.

3. User accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under it. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You may not use another person's account without permission.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Publish false, misleading, or fraudulent content
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Distribute spam, malware, or other harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

5. Your content

You retain ownership of all content you publish through the Service. By publishing content, you grant Lecturn a limited, non-exclusive licence to display and distribute that content for the purpose of providing the Service. You represent that you have the right to publish all content you submit.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis as described at the time of purchase. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at support@getlecturn.com.

7. Intellectual property

The Lecturn name, logo, and Service (excluding user content) are owned by Lecturn and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or distribute them without our written permission.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon deletion, your public portfolio will be taken down within 24 hours.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lecturn shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify you of material changes by email.
